2 months is along time to be MIA ...

I always have this super amazing plan - that something exciting is going to happen "tomorrow", so then I have something to write about - but it appears as though tomorrow never comes, so this post really isn't exciting - you get stuck with this:

April
1) Exams finish and I escape America! Secretly though (or perhpas not so secretly anymore) I miss the routine and my lovely American friends. Not to worry though - I'm sure I'll be back in AA before I know where the summer went. Oh P2 Year - apparently it's Hell! Grrrrrrrreat!

May
1) I started to work in a pharmacy - and as much as it was what I expected - it was completely different than what I had imagined. I'm sure this has happened to you - where the expectation doesn't meet the reality. I think part of my problem is that I stressed myself out way too much over this. I have always lucked out with summer jobs, and I end up having the most amazing experiences. But this is the first summer where I am working at a job which also happens to be my future career. You can just feel the pressure can't you?!

2) Graduation - not mine mind you - been there done that already. I did get to attend another one - and it was way better the second time around - not as hot, less stress/pressure, and comfortable shoes! Needless to say I actually got to enjoy the day. And of course there was such delicious food and yes - debauchery! Who knew there was a horiffically obvious video camera catching it all! Congrats Paul.

3) Vancouver - I went for a "friend of the family's wedding" - and it was a lot of fun; any excuse to play dress-up I guess. Although the purpose of the trip was the wedding, there was a little bit of sight seeing - like checking out Whistler, which was breath taking. I think I need to go back and ski there sometime soon - I think it would be heaven on earth. I also got a lovely tour of the Sea Wall and some chill time with Mr. Marriage - good times - Marriage anyone?

4) A Cottage Party - if you were there - you know how ridiculous it was. I think the highlight of that misadventure was puking in the grocery store! I can't wait for the next one. And if you didn't make it - too bad... maybe if you're good - Ill invite you to the next one - maybe...

June
Although I can't really give numbered highlights because something super exciting may just happen tomorrow - there have been some crazy things so far, so perhaps Ill use letters instead:

a) RADIOHEAD! Yes I got to see Radiohead - and they were incredible, and I think so long as I can rationalize scalped ticket prices I will be seeing them live. They weren't touring to promote a new album, so they played their "greatest hits" like Just - a personal favourite, as well as new stuff - which gave me goose bumps! I am really looking forward to hearing the sound of their new album. At one point they began a song with Hip-Hop beats, and then added guitars and everything-else-Radiohead - the sound they created was amazing... I can't wait until they come back. I also can't wait to find another sketchy alley on the way ;)

b) I joined a gyme (how I love random Simpson's references - well this is the only one I've got). But the best part was running into and old friend and then getting to party with her and her friends! I really thought that this summer was going to be rather lonely - being so far away - but it is working out much better than I had hoped. Although I never seem to have a weekend anymore, I think things are alright ;)

c) Chatham - you know, before you knock something - you need to try it ... really - their needs to be a little more Chatham Respect - especially when it involves nature walks, or car rides, or ice cream or even a little bit of Blue Colar Comedy.

d) Of course over the past month and a half there have been many trips to toronto - and I will continue racking up miles on the car! But I think it's worth it...

Now that you (my e-stalker) have caught up on my comings and goings... perhaps I now need to address the most important issue: Why are there no bloody photos! It is a sad and heart breaking story .. but here is the short version:
My dearest Lappy is having power troubles - as in she won't charge (and not charge like what your mother does). And as such, my amazing photos as of late which are stored on my dearest Lappy, are unaccessable ... don't worry, she is getting fixed and hopefully I can enjoy the internet for extended periods of time once again. But until then, sparse posting with minimal photos and maximal text will have to do; it's also the reason why I am MIA on the msn.

Miss. Ing-Her-Lappy-Among-Other-Things...
