The word of the Day: Professional. Please use it gratuitously!
A) A week ago Wednesday, I went out with some pharm kids, and all hell broke loose. Not the usual kind of hell I enjoy, but more of the I-am-drunk-and-need-to-fight-someone type of hell. Please take note, I wasnt looking for a fight, but rather some guy in a pizza place was, and my friend Bob was his target. No one got hurt too badly, but I was a little freaked out. I have never been so close to a fight before. Welcome to America...
Some fun pictures are below, before the fight:
Jerome and Myself, dancing (or posing?) the night away!
Myself and Mary also dancing up a storm - or posing rather....
B) Last weekend was Fall break - ie Spring Break, but in the fall, with less drinking, and American. This means I did get to eat turkey, but not the weekend before, which was Canadian Thanksgiving. Turkey and Stuffing and (Strubarb) Pie - Oh My!
While on Fall break - I did work. My Life is due next week...
C) On Wednesday October 19th - I became an Official Professional - White Coat and all! This is a relatively new tradition here. And the purpose is to give us a grand enterance into the world of being a Health Care Professional. It was quite a neat experience, and I feel like I belong here, that much more.
Some more exciting photos below...
This is me being a Profession, in an Auditorium...
This is the lower part of me, being professional in an Auditorium. Now if only the photographer was being a professional, I might have more than one shot of me, on my Offically-A-Professional-Day.. I am bitter?
D) Some interesting developments...
I will be moving out of my current place by the end of the school year. In order to do this, I need to find a new place - one which is significantly closer to campus. Mary and I have 7 appointments to check out places next week.
So not only is my life due, but I am appartment hunting as well.
Miss Ima Professional
(like your mom, only my benefits aren't STIs)
ps: Did I mention I cut those terribly professional mother jokes still?

Congratulations Aysha... I'm very proud of you, and I'm sad that I couldn't be there to celebrate with you.
Perhaps we can celebrate both at the iron ring ceremony when I too get to join the esteemed ranks of the responsible people in the world.
Miss you...

"who keeps the metric system down, we do. we do" haha, not sure how appropriate that is, but it seems like every industry has their own little cult-like rite of passage ceremony. Haha, I thought the white coat thing was because they gave you your own coat during a lab or something. Well congrats!
And hooray for drunken american fights. Tell mary I say 'sup.
ballyhooingly out!

PS. I just watched "Be Cool" where vince vaughn plays a white guy wanna be thug (aka a whigger) and it's had its effect on me.

Why is your white coat short? Does that mean your only a half professional? Do they give you other half at the end? Do you have to sew it on yourself? That means that you have to be a 'health care professional' AND a seamstress! Geez they're demanding aren't they?!
Miss you hun! Glad your having a good time down there (you know, without the fights), good luck with the apartment hunt miss professional.

Done and Done
Lease has been signed. This means no more, 25 min. bus rides to campus.
Now, its more like a 5 min. walk. More sleep for me!
