Exam time!
Most of you who keep up with blog know what this time is about:
1) Lack of sleep
2) Too much coffee
3) Hand cramps
4) Dry eyes
5) Learning a lot of material in not a lot of time
“Finals” here are actually quite different.
1) There is no study break; I go from last day of class right into an exam the very next day.
2) “Finals” are not accumulative
3) Some of them are even worth 20%!
As you can see, this is not very motivating! Where is the pressure? Where is the stress? I remember the good ol’ days when I had to learn an entire course in 1 day and it was worth 70% of my final grade!
Having said, anything below a C (as in 70) is considered a fail. So things aren’t as easy as I make it seem. There is a lot of pressure, because it isn’t a matter of pass/fail, or the “7-0 and go” theory. Now it really matters where I rank in the class, and marks matter from Day One.
Wish Me Luck!
